Niloofar Elyasi
PhD Student (2021-present)
Niloofar earned her B.Sc in Civil Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology. She then pursued her graduate studies at the same university in Earthquake Engineering with a focus on structural health monitoring and a new damage index for base isolated structures.
She is currently a PhD student at University of Waterloo, working under supervision of Dr. Kim. Her research focuses on seismic vulnerability assessment of structures, especially low-rise RC buildings.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing badminton and tennis, reading books, and watching movies.
