Johanna Pinargote Torres
Johanna is currently in her 4th year of Civil Engineering at the University of Waterloo. She is also pursuing a Structural and Geotechnical specialization. Johanna will start a MASc in Civil Engineering on Fall 2022 under supervision of Dr. Kim.
As part of her co-op terms, she has worked as a product coordinator, structural engineering assistant, geotechnical intern, and bridge engineering assistant. She has experience analyzing and designing steel and concrete structures, steel towers, shallow and deep foundations, slopes, culverts, slab-on-girder and rigid-frame bridges, and retaining walls. Johanna has working knowledge of Slope/W, Oasys Alp, SAP2000, and AutoCAD 2D-3D.
In her spare time, Johanna enjoys watching movies, trap shooting, and backpacking.
