A critical analysis of definitions, concepts, and assumptions of classical, recent and modern theories of play with implications for programming, planning, and evaluating children's play. This course focuses primarily on the play of the child; however, we will also explore the notion of play in later childhood, adolescence, adulthood, including play in the lives of students.
