Temperature Monitoring Using Ultrasound-Thermography Fusion

Ultrasound imaging is a real-time medical modality currently used for diagnosis and image-guided procedures. However, it falls short in measuring the temperature of targets inside the body. To address this limitation, I proposed a new fusion technology combining ultrasound with thermal imaging. This approach uses thermal images of the surface, alongside AI, to estimate the temperature of targeted areas during ultrasound imaging. I spearheaded this project by designing an experimental framework that integrates ultrasound imaging with real-time thermal imaging. Additionally, I developed AI models for real-time image analysis, fusion, and temperature measurement. Through both computational and experimental studies, I demonstrated the feasibility of this method.
