Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning do so much good in the world already but it is critical to target new, broader ways AI/ML can benefit society and to prepare for pitfalls and risks that will arise.

So myself and a power team of co-organizers are hosting the first NIPS #AIForSocialGood Workshop this year on December 8, 2018.

There are two tracks:

1. 4 page short paper: recent or current advances and applications.
2. 2 page solutions abstract: roundtable discussion to launch new impactful projects, open to nonprofits and CSOs.
