Abstract:
In this work, we address the challenge of the FMCW radar phase analysis known as the phase wrapping. A new solution is proposed based on a recursive phase correction, which does not resort to differentiation or integrations. In addition,
the method is implemented and tested for a subject in order to detect heart and breathing rates in a bedroom environment. On
the other hand, we derive the cardio-respiration waveforms for the subject to demonstrate the feasibility of using the radar for clinical applications.
