Debela obtained his BSc (2013) and MSc (2016) in Chemical Engineering from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, and another MASc (2019) from the University of Guelph. His PhD research focuses on the design and development of sustainable biopolymers using renewable macromolecules and employing engineering approaches. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and watching soccer games.
