Dylan was born and raised in Ontario, Canada and received both his BEng and MASc in biomedical and biological engineering from the University of Guelph. He is finishing his PhD in chemical engineering at the University of Waterloo where he studies the effects of simulated recycling in polyolefin and polyesters for heavily filled wood-plastic composites. Dylan is currently working on producing new plastic composites with a novel reinforcement material as a by-product of the hemp industry. He actively enjoys concerts, running in the outdoors, traveling, and walking his dogs.
