Professor Gaudet is the recipient of the following honours and awards:

Engineering Society Teaching Excellence Award, University of Waterloo (2015)

• The EngSoc Teaching Excellence Award recognizes an instructor who has: employed non-conventional teaching techniques, allowed opportunities for experiential learning, and showed a commitment and dedication toward ensuring academic success for students.

Outstanding Performance Award, Faculty of Engineering, University of Waterloo (2014)

• The University of Waterloo established an Outstanding Performance Fund to reward faculty members for outstanding contributions in teaching and scholarship.

Distinguished Performance Award, Faculty of Engineering, University of Waterloo (2012)

• Distinguished Performance Awards honour outstanding, well-rounded faculty members.  Winners are those with exceptional overall merit ratings, who have also made some significant contribution through their research, teaching, or service. 

Petro-Canada Young Innovator Award (2009)

• The Petro-Canada Young Innovator Awards recognize, promote, and support outstanding and innovative emerging researchers whose work contributes significantly to the training environment of the University of Alberta and has an impact on society at large.
