Masoomeh’s research addresses vacuum-driven anaerobic fermentation of organic wastes. Anaerobic fermentation is a promising approach for resource recovery from waste streams which can contribute to environmental sustainability and the development of a circular economy. Vacuum-driven fermentation overcomes the challenges of traditional anaerobic fermentation and integrates the intensified treatment process into enhanced resource recovery. Outside of research, Masoomeh likes doing calligraphy and going climbing in her spare time.
