Ezgi received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Chemistry from Middle East Technical University, Turkey. Her masters’ work involved enantioselective reactions via host-guest catalysts. She has worked as a Chemist in oil refinery wastewater/process water laboratory between 2013-2018 in Turkey. She has completed Collaborative Water Program at the University of Waterloo. Her PhD research focuses on the removal of pharmaceuticals and personal care products from water via novel magnetic nanoadsorbents.
