Xiaoyu is a MASc student who focuses on characterising inorganic chlorine compounds in the aqueous and gas phase of a sewer system to address the corrosion issue caused by chlorine-contained industrial discharge in sewers. She received a bachelor’s degree in Groundwater Sciences and Engineering from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), as well as a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science (Water Science) at University of Waterloo in 2022. In her free time, Xiaoyu likes running, hiking, and being in the nature.
