Dan’s research interests surround the role skeletal muscle plays in contributing to overall metabolic health. Dan completed his undergraduate degree in biology (Hons) at Western University, and an MSc at the University of Waterloo (kinesiology). Dan's Phd in Dr. Tupling's lab addressed how the energy used by the skeletal muscle Ca2+ pump affects energy balance, weight gain and adiposity. After the completion of his PhD, Dan went onto do post-doctoral research at the BC Children's Hospital Research Institute.
