Summary

Dr. Ali Jasemi is a developmental psychologist with a PhD in Developmental Psychology and over a decade of combined experience in research, teaching, and programme leadership. His peer reviewed work investigates how culture, cognition, and mental health intersect across the lifespan. He has established and directed mental health and equity initiatives in clinical and corporate settings and holds teaching appointments at multiple universities and post secondary institutions.

In the classroom, Ali fosters an inclusive, learner-centered environment. Whether online or in person, he applies culturally responsive pedagogy, Universal Design for Learning, and trauma informed strategies to ensure every student feels supported and inspired to engage critically.

Beyond teaching, Dr. Jasemi serves as a peer reviewer for leading psychology and education journals, collaborates with community agencies to translate research into practice, and supervises undergraduate and graduate research projects. He presents regularly at national and international conferences on resilience, acculturation, and cognitive science. His combined academic and applied experience enables him to translate complex ideas into impactful learning and practice.
