We are excited to announce the return of our annual Water and You art contest, hosted entirely online, starting on Friday January 7, 2022! This contest is aimed for student in grades 4-7 in the Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge Region to raise awareness amongst them regarding water challenges and the importance of water in our daily lives.

Team SWIGS for 2021/22 school year were joined by new and existing members of SWIGS for the SWIGS Fall Welcome. The socially-distanced in-person event included terracota pots painting, colouring sheets, friendship bracelet tutorials, and delicious pizza supplied from the Graduate House. Members of the SWIGS community present connected with each other as they filled the interactive ice-breaker bingo. Filled bingo sheets were entered into a raffle draw that produced three lucky winners of SWIGS and Water Institute merch! The Clean Water Here Global Photography Exhibit, in partnership with the University of Waterloo’s Water Institute, opened at THEMUSEUM on Saturday, May 5, 2018 and features 13 photographs from around the world that document what the lack of safe drinking water means knowing the water cycle in its entirety includes all uses and users.
