The SouthWestern Ontario Research Data Centre (SWORDC) at the University of Waterloo is a computer laboratory which provides secure access to confidential microdata files from the census, various surveys and a growing range of administrative data.

SWORDC is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Wilfrid Laurier University, the University of Guelph and the University of Waterloo.

The centre at Waterloo was one of the first to open in 2001 and is part of the Canadian Research Data Centre Network (CRDCN), which now counts 30 Statistics Canada Research Data Centres and branches across Canada. SWORDC is also linked to the Branch RDC located at the University of Guelph.
