The practical tools and standards used to classify and work with space at Waterloo
COU Room Categories and Types
Defines the COU classifications used to describe university space. The room category identifies the primary function of a room, while the room type further defines its use within that category.
UW Room Standards
Provides a more granular description of how a room is used. UW Room Standards supplement the broader COU category and room type classifications by identifying the room’s specific function.
