U.W.P.S. Crime Report– from Feb. 10 to 16, 2015

Suspicious Person:

U.W.P. S. is investigating the report of a suspicious male approaching a student on the Laurel Trail near Seagram Drive.  On February 12 at approximately 11:00 a.m. a student was approached by a male asking curious questions about students and reading week. The complainant was uneasy with the line of questions and concerned the suspect may be canvassing to commit thefts during reading week.

The suspect is described as male, white, in his 40’s, 6’ tall, 200 lbs, heavy build, double chin, unshaven, walked with a noticeable limp, wearing a plaid jacket and a hunter style hat with ear flaps.

Thefts:

o   Cell Phone (1):

     · On Feb. 10 at approximately 1:00 p.m.

         * From ML food court

                · “Blackberry Z10”

o   Bikes (1):

     · Between Feb. 5 and 10th

          * From EV3 racks

                · Men’s mountain bike, “Knanked Republic”, blue & white (cable                   lock cut)

o   T.V.’s (2):

     · Between 4:30 p.m. Feb. 11th and 10:00 a.m. Feb. 12th

         * From Wilmot Court North and South lounges

             · 2  - “Panasonic”  39” Flat screen LED 1080P (removed from wall                brackets)

o   Cash:

     · After 5:30 p.m. Feb. 11th

        * Room 201 at Renison University College

             · Men’s wallet was left behind and turned into SLC Turnkey desk                  on Feb. 13th. $200 Canadian cash and $15 U.S. had been                        removed from the wallet

o   Headphones (1):

     · On Feb. 3rd at approximately 9:00 p.m.

         * Room 2364 in E2

              · “Bose QC15” headphones, silver & black

o   Coats (1):

     · On Feb. 12th at approximately 1:30 a.m.

         * Bombshelter Pub, from chair near dance floor

              · Men’s “Guess” black leather jacket

o   Watch (1):

     · On Feb. 13th between 3:50 and 6:10 p.m.

         * From unsecured locker, men’s change room in the PAC

             · Man’s “Citizen Eco-Drive” watch, black face with sliver band

Liquor License Act Charges:

1 – Intoxicated in Public

1 – Presenting False Identification
