U.W.P.S. Crime Report– from Feb. 3 to 9, 2015

Stolen Vehicle:

U.W.P. S. and W.R.P.S. are investigating the theft of a newspaper delivery van. On February 9th at 4:40 a.m. the van was left parked on the Ring Rd at the main entrance to the SLC with the keys in the ignition and the engine running. While the driver was inside a male jumped into the van and drove off. It was last seen heading eastbound on Columbia St. West.

The van is a 2002 Ford Econoline F250, white with passenger windows all around bearing Ontario license plate 905 1TK.

The suspect is described as male, white, 5’10”, wearing dark pants and coat and possibly carrying a backpack.

Property Damage:

U.W.P.S. officers investigate the report of damage being done to property inside the Bombshelter at 1:40 a.m. on February 7th. Information was received that a male had torn a decorative hockey jersey from the ceiling of the pub causing damage to parts of the ceiling tiles and tracks. A 22 year old male (non-UW affiliated) was arrested a short distance from the scene. He has been released pending restitution being paid for the damage caused. The male has been banned from entering the Bombshelter.

Liquor License Act Charges:

2 – Minor consume

4 – Carrying an open container of liquor in other than a licensed premise, residence, or private place.
