U.W.P.S. Crime Report– Week of Mar. 4 to 10, 2014

Thefts:

• Laptop (1):

o   Mar. 8^th   – DPL 9^th floor study carrel, Apple MacBook taken between 2:00 pm and 2:20 pm.

• Cell phone (1):

o   Mar. 4^th –DCL, Quite Study area, Nokia, taken between 7:00 pm and 11:00 pm.

Vandalism:

1.            Graffiti in Parking Lot A. On March 9^th police found the concrete bases of several lamp posts had been spray painted with stenciled characters in red and purple paint. Also found on some posts was illegible text written in white paint.

2.            Broken window on 3^rd floor landing of stairwell in E2. Occurred sometime between 10:30 pm on March 6^th and 12:25 am on March 7^th. The window was smashed several times with an unknown object.

3.            UWPS are investigating a false fire alarm that occurred at the DC at 12:50 am on March 9^th. A fire extinguisher on the 2^nd floor that was discharged was found to be the cause of the alarm.
