WRPS seeking assistance with several recent robbery investigations

Location: REGINA ST N and HICKORY ST E, NORTHERN INTERSECTION WATERLOO ON Canada

On August 19th, 2016 at approximately 1:10 a.m., two males, aged 26 and 30, were robbed at knife point in the area of Hickory Street and Regina Street Waterloo. The two victims were stopped by two males and during the robbery one of the suspects produced a knife and threatened the victims. The two suspects fled the area with property from both victims. The victims were uninjured. The area was checked by responding officers and a canine unit. The suspects were not located and are still outstanding. Police are looking to identify the following males involved in this robbery: 1 - white male, 23 years, 5' 9", 160 lbs, average build wearing dark clothing 2 - male black, 5' 9", 160 lbs, average build wearing dark clothing, short black hair and was in possession of the knife. There have been two previous incidents which occurred in this general area over the past four weeks. On July 25th at approximately 3:00 a.m., a male sustained injuries during a robbery in the area of Hickory Street. On July 29th at approximately 1:05 a.m. a female was robbed at knife point in the area of Hickory Street. Police are seeking witnesses to all of these incidents. In this robbery and the previous robberies, the suspects approached the victims and engaged them in casual conversation prior to the robbery taking place. Police are asking the public to be vigilant and be aware of their surroundings and request that people call police to report anything suspicious in this area.
