U.W.P.S. Crime Report– Week of Jan. 7 to 13, 2014

Arrest in Theft of Cell Phone:

• UWPS officers followed up on an investigation into the theft of a cell phone that occurred on Sept. 25, 2013 from the Dana Porter Library.
• On January 8, 2014 a 20 year old female UW student was located, on campus, in possession of the stolen cell phone.
• This female was arrested and charged with 1 count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
• She was released on an Appearance Notice to attend court in Kitchener on February 28, 2013.
• The cell phone was recovered and will be returned to it’s owner.

Thefts:

• Wallets (2):
  • PAC – Jan. 7^th   men’s locker room– from unsecured locker,  wallet recovered but cash and credit card taken
  • PAC – Jan. 8^th men’s locker room– from unsecured locker

• Laptop (1):
  • Davis Center Library – Jan. 7^th, Apple MacBook Pro

Liquor License Act Provincial Offence Notices Issued (3):

• Minor Consume – 2
• Presenting False Identification - 1
