Beyond U

Beyond U

Designed for upper-year participants, Beyond U allows you to engage with a local not-for-profit through an immersive 12 to 14-week internship. The program provides you with experience working directly with organizations and community members to address key issues in our community, such as homelessness, poverty, health and wellness, gender equality, and more. Through this volunteer work, Beyond U participants thoroughly understand how the community-based organization functions, the populations it serves, and its foundational values. You will be challenged to reflect on these experiences, experience the social justice issues within our local community, gain greater insight into what work is being done to address these inequalities and understand what work still needs to be done.
