Introduction to R

In this introduction to R workshop, participants will be taught the basics of this open-source language. Topics covered in this workshop include:

• Understanding the RStudio panels
• Help tools
• Importing/exporting data
• Data management and manipulation
• Descriptive statistics
• Graphing with the base package
• Installing and loading R libraries

This in-person workshop will happen at DC 1568 (inside the DC library). The workshop involves hands-on practice. Participants are required to bring their laptops/devices with R and RStudio already downloaded and installed.

Registration is free and open to all University of Waterloo faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students. No programming experience is assumed.
