About the Survey
Led by the University of Waterloo Health Research Hub (HRH) Working Group, this survey aims to gather insights from academic health researchers regarding current practices, challenges, needs and opportunities related to health data storage, management, and access. Your participation will help us to inform HRH’s strategic planning to support a university-wide health data strategy.
What Does Participation Involve?
If you choose to participate, you will be asked to complete a confidential 15-minute online survey. This survey will include questions about:
- Your data types and practices
- Infrastructure and needs related to data storage, management, and access
- Perspectives on increasing health data discoverability, accessibility, and use
- Basic administrative information such as faculty, department, and appointment
Who Can Participate?
To be eligible, you must:
- Be aresearcher at the University of Waterloo who does some form of health research
- For this survey, health research refers broadly to any scholarly activity focused on human health, healthcare systems, public health, biomedical sciences, or health-related social sciences. This includes primary, secondary, and synthetic data sources and encompasses fundamental, clinical, population-based, and translational research.
