Thank you for supporting our students when they need it most.
Every day, your steadfast support makes a huge difference in the lives of students across our campus community. Our students feel the benefit of your gifts every time they walk into a lecture hall, conduct research at the library, play on a sports team or explore unique learning opportunities. Our latest Impact Update explores the uniquely supportive environment your gifts create.
Thank you for building a community that empowers our students to achieve their highest potential.
With gratitude,

University of Waterloo
The University of Waterloo champions a culture of exploration, risk-taking, entrepreneurship and leadership. This is why we are so proud to be long-term donors of the University. After moving to Waterloo in 1963, we have seen the community transform before our eyes, in large part because of the opportunities provided by the University to foster groundbreaking research, aid student success and establish new businesses. We are very proud to be a contributing factor to making this ongoing, community-wide change possible.
Living with low vision – but without fear
Ida Fisher benefited greatly from the School of Optometry and Vision Science’s Low Vision Clinic – and now she’s paying it forward by becoming a donor herself.

“As a Recreation Ambassador supported by the Waterloo Fund, I help create personal connections with students. I create social media posts, stories, and post questions in an interactive engagement style, so students know about different activities they can try on campus. I feel that when you share your personal stories, students connect with you more because it’s a peer-to-peer connection.
What attracted me to the role of Recreation Ambassador were the campus wellness activities. I also wanted to explore the different programs offered by Athletics and Recreation, especially for international students, and share with my peers that if I can do it, everyone can.”
