EdTech Sandbox Supervisor

Ken (he/him) is the EdTech Sandbox supervisor in the Teaching Innovation Incubator (TII). He is responsible for the daily management of the EdTech Sandbox, as well as support of Teaching Innovation Incubator projects whose work coincides with the affordances of the EdTech Sandbox.

He is also responsible for consulting with instructors, staff, and students about the technologies included in the EdTech Sandbox (e.g., VR/XR, 3D scanners) and other pedagogical equipment (e.g., flexible teaching furniture, team-based learning configurations), providing insight, expertise, and guidance on the use of all equipment in the EdTech Sandbox.

He is a graduate of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) with a Masters in Education where his focus and emphasis was in Digital Technologies in Education and is currently pursuing a Masters in Theological Studies at Conrad Grebel University College. Ken is enthusiastic about getting faculty, staff and student into the sandbox to discuss the affordances of innovative tools and teaching strategies to enhance the teaching and learning experience at the University of Waterloo.
