Ayman Alzayat received a PhD in the Department of Management Sciences supervised by Mark Hancock at the University of Waterloo and Miguel Nacenta at University of St Andrews.
He focused on understanding touch experience, particularly, how people experience physical and virtual objects. He was involved in the design and implementation of several projects that help to understand touch in the field of human-computer interaction. He also worked on bringing psychological theories to the virtual and digital world to observe touch experience implications.
Ayman did his master's at the University of Waterloo in the Department of Management Sciences. His thesis work looked at how people learn from stories and how each story can either help or hinder people’s cognitive learning to solve a particular problem.
