Credit Worthy : Anabaptist Debt and Material Bases of Coexistence
David Neufeld, historian of religion, culture, and everyday life in early modern Europe, explores how mutual dependency between the early Anabaptists and the surrounding community was based not on creed but on credit, and the ongoing evaluation of reputation, construction of moral knowledge, and building of trust across religious difference that it entailed.
Sponsored by the Institute of Anabaptist and Mennonite Studies, the lecture is part of Conrad Grebel University College's Benjamin Eby lecture series.
A public and free event with the request to register in advance for planning purposes.
