This year’s conference highlights debates around the various local, national, and international anniversaries in 2017 – such as 150 years since Canadian Confederation, 100 years since the Russian Revolution, or 40 years since the last reported case of smallpox – and examining the politics and performance of commemoration and public memory.
Conference is sponsored by the Tri-University History program from the University of Guelph, University of Waterloo, and Wilfrid Laurier University.
