Benji Smith is a third-year PhD student studying under Dr. Andrew Hunt. His research focuses on Presidential Impeachment and public communication strategies. Specifically, the deliberate media relations strategies used to influence public opinion and media coverage, as well as the overall impact of these strategies on the impeachment cases of Presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton. Benji received his MA in History from the University of Waterloo in 2020, where he studied the extent of presidential authority as advocated by Dick Cheney from 1972 to 2008.
