Eleanor is working on her thesis in Child Migration to Canada, utilising her extensive oral history archives of British Home Children and descendants from Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England during the period 1869-1939. Her work in documentary filmmaking along with a published book on Irish immigration will be incorporated into her thesis undertaking. She is a mother of four grown children and with her Irish husband enjoys farming in Apple Hill, as well as life in Toronto.
