Seth is a seasoned communications strategist with a rich background in news journalism and publishing. His PhD project is uniquely positioned to benefit from his interdisciplinary background and professional experience. He holds a Master of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, as well as a double degree in Mass Communications and History from the National University of Singapore.

A keen foodie and avid traveller, Seth’s research sits at the intersection of global history, food studies and media studies. He will be investigating how food media constructed and staged national culinary identities in the United Kingdom, United States and Canada during its 'golden age' (1945–1980), shaping the stories that nations told about themselves and others. His project will offer a novel interdisciplinary contribution to food history by focusing on a pivotal yet understudied postwar era prior to the digital age (circa 1980).
