Stephanie's research interests are in Canada-US relations, especially how both countries have engaged in international relations since the Cold War Era. Her Major Research Project (MRP) will focus on the independent actions of Canada and the United States in peacekeeping missions in Africa during the '80s and '90s. With this focus, Stephanie will assess how the differences in both countries' actions speak to a broader trend of Canada emerging as an independent actor from the US on the world stage amid the global shift to a multipolar world.
