| Abstract | Fragmentation of (OCS)3+ and (OCS)4+ produced by 120 keV Ar8+ collision was studied by using a position-sensitive time-of-flight (PS-TOF) method. We identified stepwise processes involving CO2+ and CS2+ metastable species as well as the concerted process (simultaneous breakup of the two bonds). For the (OCS)4+ events, the stepwise processes were found for fragmentation channels containing a doubly-charged terminal atom. |
