Masood Lohar is a development professional, having expertise in community based climate change adaptation in housing, cooking, livelihood and water use management. He is currently founder of the Clifton Urban Forest in Pakistan's largest populated coastal city Karachi, Pakistan where he has successfully established an urban forest of 600,000 trees of 83 different native species including 500,000 mangroves. Masood has started a campaign for urban forests and urban wetlands all over Pakistan and striving for a policy influence to make the municipal authorities for rainwater harvesting,. In his previous role he was the country head of UNDP-GEF Small Grants Program, Pakistan and also supervised one student of University of Waterloo PHD program on Climate Smart Agriculture which happens to be the first ever study in the country.
