Monday, February 25, 2019

The Partners for Action (P4A) network at The University of Waterloo, Faculty of Environment, co-led by Water Institute member Jason Thistlethwaite, has received renewed funding from The Co-operators Group Ltd. The $600,000 will support P4A's efforts to facilitate increased risk awareness, enhance cross-sector collaboration, and improve decision-making to help make Canadian communities more resilient to flooding.

"Flooding is a serious risk for Canadians. We need strong partnerships across sectors to enable individuals and communities to build resilience to flood impacts. Through our applied research and collaboration with a wide range of organizations, we are working to understand the needs of Canadian communities, with the goal of overcoming barriers to flood resilience." Jean Andrey; Dean, Faculty of Environment
