Please join the Water Institute on November 3 to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the innovative Collaborative Water Program (CWP)! It's time to celebrate with ten remarkable cohorts of CWP graduates from the most interdisciplinary water graduate program in Canada!
In a world where interdisciplinary approaches are increasingly required to address complex problems, the CWP encourages students to push the boundaries of their research and discover innovative ways to tackle global water challenges. Established in 2013, almost 400 students have completed the CWP over its first ten years, preparing them as future leaders in the water sector and beyond.
The CWP uniquely requires that students complete specialist disciplinary training in their respective home department or schools while in parallel completing additional interdisciplinary courses and activities with water students from a wide array of other disciplines. Partnerships with regional water professionals are also a key to the success of the program.
"The Collaborative Water Program has produced a cohort of highly accomplished alumni who are actively addressing pressing global water issues," says Nandita Basu, Director of the Collaborative Water Program.
"As one of the first interdisciplinary water programs in Canada, CWP maintains its commitment to excellence as it embarks on its second decade, preparing students with holistic perspectives crucial for the sustainable management of our water resources."
The Water Institute is delighted to organize this anniversary celebration welcoming our CWP alumni back to Waterloo and offering a platform to connect and share experiences with fellow alumni, CWP faculty members and current students. We can't wait to welcome you back to Waterloo!
