research
on:
1. Erosional processes linking soil mobilization with sediment transport and fate in streams associated with forest harvesting activity including roads/linear disturbances in mountainous landscapes.
2. Effects of forest harvestingon evaporatranspiration and soil moisture dynamics in mountain forest environments.
Positions are available immediately (Sept. 2014 or Jan. 2015 start) and will remain open until filled. Successful candidates will conduct field based research as part of a large international, interdisciplinary team of water scientists involved in the Southern Rockies Watershed Project. Graduate students will be located at University of Alberta, University of Waterloo, or Oregon State University, Dept. of Forest Engineering, Resources, and Management.
