This grant will assist in the development of an innovative trenchless technology for the rehabilitation of aging drinking water pipelines. The City of Waterloo will be testing new technologies developed by Envirologics Engineering and Madison Chemical Industries lead by the CATT researchers. The technology aims to operate without water or chemicals, cause no damage to pipes, and avoid fouling fresh water supplies. The technology also saves on time as it enables "same-day" repairs rather than the weeks it can take by conventional methods.
