Sheree Pagsuyoin Leads Project Funded by Grand Challenges Canada

​Sheree Pagsuyoin, Assistant Professor in Civil & Environmental Engineering, was awarded $122,000 in funding from Grand Challenges Canada, Stars in Global Health (round 6). The project proposed by Pagsuyoin and her co-PIs J.R. Santos (George Washington University) and R.R. Tan (De LaSalle University, Philippines) aims to build a lowcost biofiltration system for drinking water treatment in rural areas of the Philippines. The proposed modular design will use indigenous materials and can be adapted for household and communal use.
