microTALKS

The STC2002 has been booked for the following dates for our TBA microTALKS.

Thurs Sept 20 @3pm

Thurs Oct 18 @3pm

Thurs Nov 15 @3pm

Thurs Dec 20 @3pm

The format would be a theme uniting a few (3-4) speakers who briefly discuss their work as related to the theme and then panel discussion with audience participation.

We are looking for 1) feedback on panel discussion ideas,  2) suggestions of speakers and 3) other ideas. The themes are supposed to appeal to a wide audience and we are aiming to include all faculties.

What is microbiology?
A general description of the field of microbiology and what it can do that would appeal especially to undergraduates. This event would be organized in concert with the Student WCMR (SWCMR) club currently being established.
Please recommend speakers from diverse backgrounds.
