Our locations

The Waterloo Eye Institute operates two full-time clinics: one in Waterloo and one in downtown Kitchener. 

Our third location is the Waterloo Eye Institute at Surrey Place project in Etobicoke

All our locations are accessible. 

The Waterloo Clinic is the flagship location of the Waterloo Eye Institute. During the construction of the Waterloo Eye Institute, it is located at Unit C, 419 Phillip St, Waterloo. 

The Waterloo Clinic offers comprehensive eye exams for all, an optical dispensary, urgent care and after-hours services, and a full range of specialized services.

Once the renovation and expansion of the Waterloo Eye Institute is complete, the Waterloo Clinic will move back to its former location at 200 Columbia St. W., Waterloo. This is expected to be in late 2026.

The Waterloo Eye Institute – Kitchener, also known as the Health Sciences Optometry Clinic, is the downtown Kitchener location of the Waterloo Eye Institute. It is located at 10B Victoria Street South, Kitchener. 

The Kitchener Clinic offers comprehensive eye exams for all and an optical dispensary. It refers patients to the Waterloo Clinic for urgent care and specialized services. 

The renovation and expansion of the Waterloo Eye Institute's Waterloo location does not affect the Kitchener location – all services continue to operate as usual.

Waterloo Eye Institute at Surrey Place is a partnership between the University of Waterloo School of Optometry & Vision Science and Surrey Place, funded by an anonymous charitable foundation.

The project provides eye and vision care to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are Surrey Place clients in the Greater Toronto Area. Services are located at Surrey Place's Etobicoke location.
