Kitchener Clinic

The Kitchener location of the Waterloo Eye Institute, also known as the Health Sciences Optometry Clinic (HSOC), is at the Integrated Health Sciences Campus of the University of Waterloo at 10B Victoria St S, Kitchener, ON, N2G 1C5.

We are in the same brown building as the Centre for Family Medicine and the Waterloo Regional Campus of the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine, McMaster University. The University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy is in a separate building beside us.

The Kitchener Clinic offers comprehensive eye exams and optical dispensing services for all ages. If you need more specialized eye and vision services, we will refer you to our Waterloo Clinic. Like our Waterloo location, we are a teaching facility, so most of the time, you will be seen both by an upper-year optometry student and a licensed optometrist.

All our locations are accessible.

Driving from Highway 401:

• Take exit 278A (from Toronto) or exit 278B (from London) to Highway 8 Kitchener/Waterloo
• Exit at King St. E. (signs for King Street/Downtown)
• Follow Weber Street going northwest to Victoria Street and turn left
• We are just past King St. W., off Charles St.

The Kitchener GO station, the Central Ion (LRT) station and several Grand River Transit bus stops are within walking distance of the clinic. Accessible transportation services such as MobilityPlus can take you to the door. 

You can access visitor parking from Victoria Street South at the Charles Street traffic lights. The patient parking lot is to the left, directly across from the main entrance to the Health Sciences building. Our clinic is located in the northeast corner of this building.

Parking is $5. Please pay for a token at our reception desk before or after your appointment.
