Biography
Dr. Williams-Lyn completed their Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wales in 1976 and a Doctor of Philosophy (Physiological Optics) at the University of Aston, Birmingham, England in 1983. Following completion of undergraduate studies, they obtained a Fellow of the British Council of Ophthalmic Opticians in 1977, Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 1980, Doctor of Optometry (COO) in 1990. They have been involved in clinical vision research as a Research Associate at the Vision Science Program, UHN, Toronto Western Hospital and at the Centre for Contact Lens Research (now CORE), University of Waterloo, and, Research Scientist at Prism Eye Institute. They currently work as an optometrist in private practice in Brampton and as a Clinical Supervisor at the Waterloo Eye Institute’s Cornea, Contact Lens & Myopia Control Clinic Care services.
