Biography

Dr. Ken Wan completed his Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto in 2010. Following his completion of undergraduate studies, he spent 2 years in a Masters of Vision Sciences program before switching to the Doctor of Optometry program, graduating from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry & Vision Science in 2016. In 2017, Dr. Wan completed an ocular disease residency at the Northeastern State University of Oklahoma's College of Optometry with access to advanced laser procedures commonly used to treat anterior segment disease and minor surgical procedures for eyelid lesions. Dr. Wan became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) in 2019 and is currently working on his Diplomate of the American Academy of Optometry in Glaucoma. Dr. Wan primarily works as an optometrist at Prism Eye Institute, North Toronto Eye Care and Lowy and Sewell Eye Care in the Greater Toronto Area. Additionally, he works part-time at the Waterloo Eye Institute’s Ocular Health and Primary Care services and at the Health Sciences Optometry Clinic in Kitchener.
