WIHS Receives Pan-Macedonian Gift

On Wednesday, October 9 Mr. James Karas, President of the Pan-Macedonian Association of Ontario, was presented with a Plaque of Recognition from Drs. Faber and Faulkner on behalf of WIHS. The Institute expressed heart-felt thanks to the Association for its generous donation of $30,000 to the WIHS Director's Fund, and for its pledge of ongoing support. The donation is an important contribution to the campaign to meet the challenge of raising $100,000 to match a gift provided by NAE Engineering Associates Inc.

Guest Lecture: Dr. Victoria Wohl

The Classical Association of Canada, University of Waterloo, and Wilfrid Laurier University are proud to present a lecture by Dr. Victoria Wohl from the University of Toronto. The lecture is titled Affective Leadership: Political Judgement and the Emotions in Classical Athens. It will be held on Friday, October 10 from 4:00-5:30 in AL 105.

The Classical Studies Department's Annual Wine and Cheese Gathering will be held following the lecture.
