Happy New Year! This month, the Waterloo Public Transportation Initiative (WPTI) will be joining thousands of transportation professionals from around the world to participate in the Transportation Research Board (TRB) 95th Annual Meeting held on January 10-16, 2016. This year, the spotlight theme is Research Convergence for a Multimodal Future, where more than 35 sessions and workshops will be focused on this year's theme. The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
