It's time to set up your Waterloo email account.
IMPORTANT: All future emails will be sent to your @uwaterloo.ca email and no longer your personal email address.
How to activate your Waterloo email account
Follow the steps to set up your Waterloo email account. Your email address is your WatIAM username + @uwaterloo.ca. Having trouble? Email the IST help desk.
Step 1: Enrol in Duo two-factor authentication (2FA) — it's required to log in
Step 2: Log into WatIAM to enter a password recovery email address
Step 3: Access your Microsoft 365 account with your @uwaterloo email and WatIAM password
Why is this important?
The University sends all official communications to your @uwaterloo email address. This includes emails about course selection, fee deadlines and messages from your professors. Your @uwaterloo address is also how you will access virtual webinars through Waterloo Ready.
