Grad Ready Program Goals
When you begin your graduate studies at Waterloo, you become part of a vibrant community of over 6,000 talented graduate students. Once enrolled in the Grad Ready program, you'll be able to connect with other graduate students via discussion boards and during our interactive live sessions.
Your discipline specialists are upper-year graduate students who will be available throughout your first term to provide support and answer questions about graduate life at Waterloo.
As you're transitioning into your graduate program, we will provide you with strategies for setting clear and achievable goals, staying motivated, and avoiding procrastination. During live sessions, you will receive information about campus resources and services, navigating graduate studies with a family, health and wellness, networking in an online environment, writing strategies, and preparing for comprehensive exams and thesis defense.
Pursuing a graduate degree offers exciting career development opportunities, whether it be through the projects you work on, the people you meet, or the volunteer activities and workshops you participate in. The Grad Ready program aims to provide you with tools and strategies for defining what success means to you during your graduate studies.
